Matthew Bunce, Writer
Personal Bio

I am native to Massachusetts, raised in the small fishing community of Chatham. At 13 I moved away from home to live at Eagle Hill School in Hardwick, Massachusetts. After five years in Hardwick a change was needed, so I packed my bags and moved to Amarillo, Texas. For those of you who have never been to Texas--I don't know what you're waiting for. Texas comes equipped with dessert, ocean, mountains, plentiful, lush forests, big cities and amazing, friendly people. I suggest you make your way over here. While in Amarillo, I enrolled at Amarillo College and took a position as a DJ at the local radio station. Three years later I felt it was time for another change. That's when Stephen F. Austin came to me in a dream and told me to pack it up. I am residing at St. Edward's University, Austin, TX, earning a degree in English Writing and Rhetoric.  My interests and my skills are one in the same: I write poetry; I compose plays; I am researching hyperfiction and learning for the classroom on the web; I am deeply interested and intrigued with studying composition theory.  Currently, I am working on a book of poetry titled On Matthew, Mordachi and Mateo, composing  play titled No Loitering which focuses on being homeless in America, and I am researching the seminal theories of composition.
